Child and Adolescent Therapy

The expression of distress and suffering in children and adolescents manifest differently from adults. Therefore, it is important to be able to assess distress in a specific and targeted way. Taking charge is more effective by involving parental figures or those affectively significant to the child in the therapeutic process in order to mobilize the resources of his or her life context.

Malaise can express itself in different ways and through different symptoms, such as

emotional and behavioral disorders (agitation, sadness aggression, anxiety, etc.);

sleep disorders (difficulty falling asleep, insomnia);

school maladjustment (difficulty in concentration, performance, socializing with peers, bullying, behavior problems at school, etc.);

eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, obesity);

addictions (to video games, substances, etc.);

self-injurious behaviors and/or negative thoughts

conflicts and problematic dynamics in the family, conflicts between parents and children, conflicts with other family members (uncles, grandparents, cousins, etc.), strong sibling rivalry, oppositional and defiant behaviors;

mediation in situations of conflictual marital separation;

etc.

Cognitive evaluations

In the case of difficulties related to school performance or in situations of hypothesis of a learning disorder (DSA).

Adult therapy

Through the psychotherapeutic process it is possible to make sense of one's discomfort by exploring one's individual and family history in a caring and empathic helping relationship. By finding a greater awareness of oneself and one's significant relationships, it is possible to bring out the necessary resources useful for changing one's situation of discomfort (anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, depression, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, eating disorders, sexual disorders, insomnia, etc.)

Couple therapy

In the course of every couple relationship, it is possible that a period of crisis and difficulty may arise, for different reasons or different events or changes. The purpose of couples psychotherapy is to find a new balance in order to continue the relationship in a more satisfactory manner.

External mandates

Thanks to the experience gained during numerous years in the field of expert witnesses, I take on external mandates from Authorities (Magistrate's Court, Regional Protection Authority) to conduct psycho-affective health status assessments of minors, assessment of parenting skills, listening and hearings of minors in the context of divorce.

Supervisions

Because I am federally recognized as a supervisor, I can offer clinical supervisions to psychologists or psychotherapists-in-training.
