Fondation de Secours Mutuels aux Orphelins – Contacts & Location
Description
WOSF, why and for whom?
No one is immune to an accident or incurable illness. Beyond the human drama, a mother or father who dies or becomes disabled means a whole economic and social balance collapses.
Created in 1872, the Fondation de Secours Mutuels aux Orphelins is a non-profit institution dedicated to helping preserve the future of children suffering the loss or disability of a parent.
Prevent the future! Because it doesn't just happen to other people...
Education, training, leisure and early-learning activities... Every parent wants the best for their child. But what would happen if you were to die, or if your health suddenly prevented you from working? Would your child be able to continue his or her studies, remain a member of a sports club or go on vacation? Or would the upheaval of his daily life add to the pain of losing a parent or seeing him diminished in his abilities?
These questions may seem abrupt. Sometimes we refuse to broach the subject out of superstition or fear of the unknown. Yet they deserve to be asked. Planning ahead is very often the best remedy for anxiety!
Through its action, the FSMO brings you an element of answer. By joining our foundation, you enable your child - in the event of death or disability - to pursue his or her activities and development under the best possible conditions. You offer him or her the opportunity to realize the projects you have envisioned with him or her.
Independent and responsible: 150 years at the service of children!
Financially sound and totally independent, managed by a Foundation Board made up of volunteers with wide-ranging skills, FSMO takes sole responsibility for its activities. Files are processed rapidly by its secretariat. If required, information and support can be offered in various fields: administrative, logistical, legal, etc.
.For over 150 years, only a non-profit mutual foundation has been able to offer those who place the child at the center of their concerns essential coverage at such a modest price.
Companies: an inexpensive gesture, but one that's much appreciated by employees!
In 1872 it was business leaders who were at the origin of the Fondation de Secours Mutuels aux Orphelins by coming to the aid of the family of one of their own, the victim of a fatal accident, at a time when social insurance had not yet been "invented". Much later, in 1948, the business community made a major contribution to the creation of the AVS, and then, in 1985, the occupational pension scheme.
.Today, more than half of FSMO's parent members have been affiliated by their company, large or small, which bears all or part of the cost of this membership. Their managers have recognized this as a welcome and inexpensive form of supplementary pension provision. It's a gesture to which their employees are very receptive, and which contributes to their motivation.
Companies also appreciate the possibility of relying on a third party for certain types of procedures.
