The Résidences Universitaires Internationales ; Rothschild and Carlton are buildings managed by the Fondation pour une Résidence Universitaire Internationale located in Le Pâquis since 1974. The Rothschild residence is a student hotel with 108 rooms including 38 studios with kitchenette and full bathroom as well as 35 two-bedroom apartments with shared kitchenette and bathroom. The rooms are distributed over two towers. The ground floor houses the reception, cafeteria and 100-seat conference room. The Rothschild residence also boasts a 30-seat room for small meetings on the 4 th floor.

In 2008, the Foundation acquired the Hôtel Carlton, which after renovation became the Résidence Carlton, offering 69 fully-equipped studio flats. It has been welcoming students since September 15, 2009. Throughout its history, FRUI has accommodated many students and trainees through its residences, not to mention tourists during the summer period. In accordance with its bylaws, it has sought to give priority to foreign students, mixing nationalities, faculties and the various organizations employing trainees.

For the past few years, FRUI has been offering a wide range of accommodation to students and trainees.

In recent years, RUI has broadened its clientele, as it now receives students from HEG, hotel schools, music conservatories etc. Every year the Foundation undertakes renovations to give its guests pleasant living conditions enabling them to live a carefree student life.Aware of the difficulty of finding accommodation in Geneva, La FRUI is committed, through its Board of Trustees, to a policy of development that will enable it to provide further accommodation in the near future. We are delighted to welcome many students each year, who during the three years they stay with us will be able to appreciate their surroundings.
