Description
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is the best-known therapy method in Chinese medicine. All of the body's organs are connected to each other by energy pathways (meridians). These invisible pathways run from the inside of the body to the surface and form an interconnected network. The acupuncture points on the meridians are stimulated by inserting fine metal needles. This changes the flow of energy, the Qi, in a targeted manner. After the barely noticeable prick through the skin, reaching the energy of the acupuncture point feels like a slight pressure, a pulling sensation that is difficult to describe or a feeling of warmth.
Acupuncture promotes local blood circulation, generally strengthens the immune system and relieves pain. Above all, however, it supports self-healing.
In my practice, I usually use ear acupuncture, one of several effective reflex and microsystems, together with body acupuncture. In addition to the fine ear needles, beads, vaccaria seeds or tiny permanent needles can be applied to the auricle with a small plaster. This prolongs the effect as the ear points are activated over a longer period of time.
