In life-threatening medical emergencies, always dial 144 on your phone!

In non-life-threatening cases or if your family doctor is not available, the doccall app connects you to the local emergency call center throughout Switzerland - or, if you prefer, to the emergency call center for your place of residence.

The official emergency call center for the Basel region

The Medical Emergency Call Center coordinates the emergency services of doctors, dentists, psychiatrists and pharmacies in the region of Northwestern Switzerland (Basel-Stadt, Basel-Landschaft, Dorneck-Thierstein and lower Fricktal).

If you need the help of a doctor, our head office can put you in touch with one directly or call the ambulance. To this end, MNZ has maintained a good working relationship with medical associations, hospitals and other institutions in the region for decades.

You can reach the Medical Emergency Call Center around the clock, 365 days a year. Your call will be answered by one of our experienced nursing staff.

All calls are recorded as part of our quality assurance process. Of course, patient confidentiality applies at all times.

• Procurement of emergency medical assistance (general practitioners, dentists, paediatricians and specialists), pharmacies, Spitexpress, transport for the disabled, etc.
   
• Deployment of paramedics and other emergency transports

You cannot reach your family doctor?

If your family doctor is not available (e.g. absent on vacation) and has not indicated a replacement, you will be put through to the emergency doctor on duty by calling 061 261 15 15. The MNZ nursing staff will carry out a triage before referring you to the emergency doctor to ensure that you receive the right help.

You need medical advice

If you have health problems or disorders, you can call 061 261 15 15 around the clock for professional advice. Apart from the normal telephone rate, there are no costs for you.
