Cosmetal Ghisla SA was founded in Biasca in 1969 when Giovanni Ghisla decided to establish the anonymous company. A few years later, he built the current workshop at Via Vincenzo Vela 10.Giovanni passed on his passion for the profession to his sons Christian and Nicola: both began their apprenticeship as metalworkers in their father's company.Christian continued his education, obtaining certificates as a metalwork draughtsman and workshop manager, and in 1998 he earned the diploma of master metalworker.A few years later, his brother Nicola followed the same training path. After the metalworker certificate, he moved to the canton of Bern, where he successfully completed the apprenticeship as a metalwork draughtsman. Ho avuto la necessità di sostituire una ruota che era danneggiata perché non avevo potuto evitare dei rottami persi da un camion in autostrada. In cinque minuti mi hanno montato la ruota di scorta e al momento di pagare mi è stato detto di dare una mancia ai ragazzi che hanno fatto il lavoro.
