The path to better hearing

The first consultation forms the cornerstone of a hearing aid fitting. After a brief medical history, we will inform you about the various designs and technologies of today's modern hearing aids. Together, we will find the device that best suits your personal profile.

The next step is a precise hearing assessment in the low-noise audiometry room. After a brief look into the ear with the video otoscope, each ear is checked separately. Even if there is minimal impairment of hearing, speech comprehension can be clarified using a standardized speech test. Intelligibility in noise and noise sensitivity provide further important data for presetting your hearing system.

An important point on the way to a perfectly fitted hearing aid is the personal consultation. We analyze your hearing impressions with you. The fitting is corrected using various technical devices until the hearing system meets your requirements after several sessions.

We work closely with local ear specialists and are happy to provide you with straightforward support when applying for insurance benefits.

Hearing aid designs

The right device for every hearing loss

Often you don't even see hearing aids - that's because they are so tiny.

We describe the sense of hearing as a marvel of nature. Hearing aids, on the other hand, are masterpieces of technology. They have never been as reliable, efficient, energy-saving and easy to use as they are today.

It is a great achievement of microelectronics that the so-called in-the-ear hearing aids fit comfortably in the pinna or ear canal. This is exactly the right place for them, as this is where the sound enters the ear and is converted, amplified and processed by the hearing aids. The second group are behind-the-ear hearing aids, which are worn inconspicuously behind the ears.

Back-of-the-ear devices (BTE)

Back-of-the-ear hearing systems have a customized earpiece that directs sound into the ear. BTE systems are adaptable for moderate to severe hearing loss. There are also so-called power hearing aids for clients with residual hearing loss with various aids.

Handling can be easier with a BTE system and the battery has a longer service life than with in-the-ear devices. The susceptibility to repair is also lower with a BTE device than with an ITE solution.

These devices are often chosen for operated ears or children, as only the earpiece and not the entire device needs to be replaced for children during the growth phase.

If the earpiece remains the same, different BTE devices or technologies (digital, fully automatic, remote-controlled with a clock, etc.) can be tried out without any problems.

Mini behind-the-ear devices

Mini BTE devices combine sophisticated technology and unusual design in the smallest of spaces and are the future of hearing systems.

In contrast to conventional BTE devices, they are much smaller, lighter and very comfortable to wear. The amplified sound is directed close to the eardrum via a mini sound tube.

Mini BTE devices hide almost invisibly behind the ear and therefore enable particularly inconspicuous cosmetic hearing aid fitting.

An "open hearing aid fitting" with a mini BTE device offers maximum sound quality and the greatest possible natural hearing comfort.

In-the-ear devices (ITE)

In-the-ear hearing systems are worn directly in the pinna or ear canal and are often chosen for cosmetic reasons. They are customizable for mild to moderate hearing loss. The choice of technologies ranges from fully automatic to manually adjustable and remote-controlled. Most devices have digital signal processing. A multi-microphone solution is selected for optimum intelligibility in noisy environments.

A distinction is made between three different types depending on how deep these hearing systems sit in the ear canal:

1. completely in the ear canal (CIC)
2. in the ear canal - ear canal device (ITC)
3. in the pinna - concha device

Lyric

Lyric wearers have opted for a comfortable, worry-free hearing solution. Lyric is inserted into the ear canal by us as a certified Lyric partner. Lyric can be worn day and night during all your activities for a period of approx. 3 months.
