The Bächtelen Foundation in Wabern near Bern is a competence center for the basic vocational training of young people with special needs. The Bächtelen Foundation offers a differentiated range of services in the areas of assessment, training and integration.
The aim of the Bächtelen Foundation's activities is to provide holistic and contemporary support for young people with special needs to help them integrate into the primary labor market, achieve the greatest possible independence and participate in society.
The Bächtelen Foundation offers internal vocational training at the INSOS practical training level, basic training with the Swiss Federal Vocational Certificate (EBA) and training with the Swiss Federal Certificate of Competence (EFZ).
In cooperation with companies from the private sector, it is also possible to complete training externally. The Bächtelen Foundation supports and accompanies the apprentices during their training and is available to answer any questions the training companies may have.
The
training areas include: Construction, horticulture, housekeeping/restaurant/catering, kitchen, agriculture, property maintenance/technical services, painting/plastering, metal construction, carpentry and bicycle repair.
In addition to the apprenticeship, various forms of accommodation are available for use during the apprenticeship.
