Safelec is a company specializing in the inspection of electrical installations in Switzerland based on the Ordinance on Low-Voltage Electrical Installations (OIBT) of November 7, 2001. OIBT Revision 2017.
Since January 1, 2002, the Ordinance on Low-Voltage Electrical Installations (OIBT) has been in force. Owners are now responsible for their buildings' electrical installations. It is the owner's responsibility to ensure that the basic safety requirements of the electrical installation are met, and to maintain it.
