The Steffen Fils company was founded in 1960 by Walter Steffen, an electrician by training. He was joined by his son Thierry Steffen in 1986, a metal builder and locksmith by trade.

For the first 45 years of its existence, the company focused on the construction of electrical switchboards. And since 2005-2006, it has opened up and broadened its activity to other fields such as general ironwork and metal construction (grinding parts, drilling holes, cutting, bending, repairs, etc.

With their workshop equipped with all the necessary tools and machinery, Walter and Thierry Steffen work alongside 3 workers and provide their services to both companies and individuals.

In fact, they often collaborate with architects, landscape designers or other trades to realize metal furniture pieces such as Corten steel planters, deckchairs to precise designs, replicas of existing models in series, bookcases, store displays, tables and bases for garden statues, etc.

Welding

We weld all types of components made of aluminum, stainless steel and steel.

Turning, punching and milling

With all the equipment required for complete machining of parts, we carry out turning, punching and milling operations to make precise cuts in sheet metal.

These processes make it possible to add components to an element, such as special hinges to a door.

Plasma cutting

Thanks to plasma technology, we can cut sheet metal according to precise drawings (whether yours or drawings we also design on request).

Plasma can thus be used to cut shapes, logos and all kinds of elements from sheet metal (steel or stainless steel) to a dimension of between 3 and 50 mm.

We draw up plans on the computer, from which we create a computer file in DXF format, which we insert into the plasma machine, which then takes charge of making the cut according to this precise plan.

Folding and shearing

These techniques, which produce a straight cut in the sheet metal, prove essential for the creation of standard metal constructions such as:

Spray painting
