Palliative care

Palliative care refers to the comprehensive treatment and care of people with incurable, life-threatening and chronically progressive illnesses. The aim of palliative care is to enable these people to enjoy the best possible quality of life. This includes supporting their relatives.

One of the basic principles of palliative care is that physical complaints, e.g. pain, shortness of breath, are comprehensively treated and alleviated. In addition, needs on a psychological, social and spiritual level are also taken into account. These can include anxiety, crises of meaning, depressive symptoms and insurance issues.

Palliative care is like a comforting cloak that someone gently wraps around your shoulders.

The meal service can be used by people who are temporarily or long-term unable to do their own shopping or cooking due to illness, accident or convalescence.
