Treatment services for children and adolescents

The service is aimed at young people  from  0 -  20 years and their parents, families or closest caregivers. Each stage of development presents  different,  sometimes age-specific challenges and problems, for which it can sometimes be necessary to seek specialist support.

For example, the following difficulties may be the reason for an appointment in my practice:

• Developmental disorders
• Social and emotional behavioral disorders
• Special stress
• Depression
• Compulsive behavior
• Eating disorders
• Constant restlessness
• School problems
• Aggressiveness
• Self-harming behavior
• Suicidal expressions
• Psychologically ill parents

As a rule, an initial consultation is followed by a clarification phase with  discussions about previous development, problem behavior, the family situation and, if necessary, the  situation in kindergarten, school or at the training or workplace. In addition, psychological tests and a physical assessment may be necessary.

As soon as all the necessary findings are available, the next steps are discussed with parents and the affected child/young person in a results meeting.

If a treatment contract is agreed, a joint goal  is developed and regularly reviewed and, if necessary, adjusted in the further course.

Depending on age and situation, various psychotherapeutic  approaches are used in the further treatment, such as play therapy, talk therapy in an individual or family setting, etc. Sometimes drug therapy may also be indicated to better treat the symptoms.

No forensic assessments are carried out.

Financing

Patients with basic insurance must be referred by their pediatrician or family doctor, patients with supplementary insurance can register directly.

You will receive the invoice sent to your home, but will be reimbursed by your health insurance company if you have a cost approval (except for your agreed deductible)

According to the contract with the LKV, your health insurance company will cover the therapy costs of up to 40 hours per year.
