Description
Language development playgroup
We offer children from the age of 2 the opportunity to practise their German language skills. With targeted language development activities designed for children of playgroup age, we promote communicative competence as well as language comprehension and vocabulary expansion.
The choice of development content is based on the developmental needs and opportunities of the children. We incorporate language development into everyday playgroup activities and provide linguistic support. This enables us to assess the child's language level and respond to each child individually. Learning through play with philosophizing, accompanying everyday situations with language, with rituals, children's songs, verses, with games for movement and senses, storytelling, inventing, playing, crafts, free play and visualization of pictures, logos and writings.
We offer the children a great deal of freedom, set clear boundaries and encourage creative thinking. The focus is on free play, as the experiences that the child gains are invaluable. The most important thing in our playgroup is and remains playing and experiencing. The children learn best from each other. As a playgroup, we provide a social experience. The children learn to find their place in a group of children their own age. The children learn to assert themselves, to show consideration for others, to accept strengths and weaknesses, to help themselves and each other.
The first friendships are made, social and language skills are expanded and, in a safe environment, a gentle separation from the closest caregivers can take place in preparation for kindergarten. We are there for the children's care as well as for the parents' concerns.
