Osteria Pizzosteria San Giorgio is a historic eatery, located in the center of Riva San Vitale , run  by  Tonino and Valeria, a successful family of restaurateurs , and Chef Matteo, who  wanted to create a place that goes to explore the food tradition of an area as a gastronomic experience in its deepest meaning. 

The osteria offers as specialties pizza and cuisine that incorporates typical local dishes, simple but tasty recipes and with strictly 0 kilometer products. They serve only local producers directly on site, to ensure the freshness of the product, its genuineness  and quality. 

Situated on one of the most beautiful squares in the Mendrisiotto, near the lido of Riva, 500 m from the parking lot and shopping center , with  its large outdoor terrace , is a perfect place for an aperitif, lunch, dinner with friends or just to come and taste the famous  pizza of Tonino, known throughout the Lugano area. 

Our pizza 

We use top-quality wheat flour, sourdough starter, real fior di latte from Agerola, buffalo mozzarella from Casertano, whole tomato sauce  de la Torrente , vegetables grown in Ticino and cheeses from the Valleys . These are the secrets of Tonino's special pizza. Available for both midday and dinner , in addition to the classic recipes, you will find gluten   and charcoal specialty on the menu.

Our breakfasts 

To enjoy an excellent breakfast with fresh pastries ( strictly Gabbani's production ), excellent coffee and freshly squeezed juices , just head to the center of Riva San Vitale , get comfortable under the umbrellas and enjoy all the pampering of Valeria. 

Lunch at our place 

Whichever was your desire, whether for a light snack ,or  for a dish of the day, a hamburger, a salad, a local specialty, a plate of Ticinese cold cuts and cheeses, or a pizza , you will always find a wide choice of the typical dishes of the territory , with a proposal that varies every week. Our signature dishes are : Zincarlin risotto mantecato, Swiss beef tartare from the butcher shop Haug in Riva San Vitale, fresh pasta with cacio e pepe  and  maltagliati with rabbit ragu. 

Our burgers are made with pizza dough , selected meat of Swiss cattle directly from our trusted butcher shop and Ticinese cheese from the neighboring valleys. 

We will be happy to prepare a snack or takeaway lunch for you if you prefer to eat it in your office or during your outing. 

Aperitif 

You will find a wide selection of Ticinese  wines selected from our cellar , as well as prestigious international labels. We prepare excellent cocktails and have a wide selection of beers. All our aperitifs are accompanied by the delicious appetizers. 

To end on a high note 

Dining at Pizzosteria with friends or as a couple means being pampered with good service and eating well. In addition to the rich a la carte menu, we have a large selection of pizzas, satisfying every palate. 

We organize and have space to host corporate events and dinners for parties and birthdays.
