Description
Welcome
In the canton of Vaud, two professions share, the representation of parties before judicial authorities and debt collection and bankruptcy offices. These are lawyers and licensed business agents.
Or, while the activity of the lawyer is well known to the public, the same cannot be said of that of the patented business agent. This profession is very old, however, since it is mentioned in legal texts as far back as the early 17th century; but it was not until 1806 that the Grand Council of the canton of Vaud clearly legislated on the conditions for its practice. The licensed business agent is recognized at federal level under the Swiss Code of Civil Procedure as a professional attorney empowered to represent parties in court.
.At cantonal level, the patented business agent may be consulted in all property cases assigned to the Justice of the Peace, the President of the District Court, the Leases Court, the Industrial Tribunal, as well as those mandatorily subject to prior conciliation and in many urgent conservatory proceedings, regardless of the amount in dispute.
.The patented business agent is bound by professional secrecy, from which only the client may relieve him.
The office:The office was opened in Lausanne on May 1, 1995 by Thierry ZUMBACH, a licensed business agent.
Initially located at Rue des Terreaux in Lausanne, the office moved in June 2001 to Rue de Cossonay 192 in Renens, where it is still located; this is the main office.
2 other secondary offices are available as reception desks:
The first office is located at Av. Claude-Nobs 2 in Montreux and the second at Av. Krieg 7 in Geneva.
