The company history

In September 1984 Hans Widmer, 23 years old, founded his small tiling company in his parents' house at St. Bernhardstrasse 16 in Wettingen.

The family home was quickly converted. The cellar served as a materials store and his bedroom as an office, where he was actively supported by his mother Rosmarie.

The following year, the company was expanded to include customer bricklaying and the first employees were hired.

The growing team realized complete renovations in kitchens and bathrooms from a single source, which has been appreciated by many customers ever since.

1989 Foundation of H.Widmer keram. Wand & Bodenbeläge AG.

2002 we moved to the new domicile at Dorfstrasse 57c in Wettingen.

With the move, the mother Widmer Rosmarie retired from active professional life after years of work and handed over her duties to Schärer Mägi, the life partner of Hans.

In 2009 we celebrated our 25th anniversary. An unforgettable evening with employees, architects, suppliers, friends and acquaintances.

In 2020 we realized our dream - the construction of our own house. In Neuenhof the tradition of combining private and business life continues.

Since December 2020 our youngest son, Fabian, has enriched the team and brought a breath of fresh air to the company. He provides Hans with comprehensive support in his area of responsibility.

Thanks to our versatile commitment, holistic advice, attention to detail and precise working methods, our company has established itself far beyond the cantonal borders.
