Description
Cecilia Mones - Art-Therapist
Graduated from the Institut de Formation l'Atelier in Geneva in art therapy and movement and dance therapy and attested from the Institut PROFAC in Grenoble, I offer workshops for children, teenagers, adults and the elderly.
Born in Argentina, I began dancing at the age of 9. In 1978 Maurice Béjart offered me a place at his multidisciplinary Mudra school in Brussels, where I trained in classical and contemporary dance, theater, music, singing, visual arts...
At the end of my training, I was hired by the Ballet du XXème Siècle, which became the Béjart Ballet Lausanne in 1987.
I became an assistant at the Ballet du XXème Siècle.I became Mr. Béjart's assistant and right hand, and following this magnificent period of life lasting over twenty-two years, I became the mother of two children.
In 2006 the Ecole de Danse de la Côte was born, a school created and directed by Mateusz Kowalek and myself.
Touched by certain children, young people and adults in difficulty, I decided to go further in my research and in 2015 I began training in art therapy and therapy through movement and dance finding in this profession the opportunity to share in turn what I have been taught. My life experience, the way I was able to get through the obstacles that came my way, trying not to lose hope even in the most difficult moments, this is what I would like to share with those who will push the door of my workshops.
Human beings possess immense resources that they sometimes ignore...
Throughout my life I've been interested in and questioned these paradoxes that inhabit us, which are the fragility and strength in ourselves.
