Fisioterapia Collina d'Oro – Contacts & Location
Description
Conservative and post-operative treatments in trauma, orthopedic, rheumatology, neurology, vascular (edema of various nature), pediatric (infant, school age, adolescent), geriatric and scar (burns).
TEAM AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:
.The practice is composed of a affiliated and dynamic mixed team of 4 physiotherapists dipl. and 2 secretaries. We are able to accommodate patients who speak Italian, French, German and English. We also perform treatments at home (on doctor's orders).
The practice's approach is medical, focusing both on treating the symptom and its subsequent prevention, and actual active rehabilitation.
We also perform approaches related to wellness (decontracting, e.g., with physical therapy and/or massage) and to instruction on specific topics (e.g., on posture, or on the proper use of weights for those who practice sports).
Much importance is therefore placed on postgraduate training, which allows us to cover a very large caseload and to accommodate patients suffering from numerous afflictions, even combined. Some training we have:
- comprehensive training (3 levels) in manual therapy according to Maitland
- comprehensive training in medical lymphatic drainage and related compression bandaging (at CHUV and with CAS in "Angiology" at SUPSI)
- training in pediatric rehabilitation (with CAS in "Pediatric Rehabilitation" at SUPSI)
- themed training in unstable shoulder (at SUPSI)
- training on pelvic floor and female incontinence (with CAS in "Rehabilitation of Women's Health," training that includes rehabilitation of musculoskeletal, medical, and classic women's probatics)
- training on special orthopedic testing (at SUPSI)
- Trigger Point and Dry Needling training (at SUPSI and IMMT)
- Kinetic Control training (postural control)
- training on physiotherapeutic rehabilitation of the large burn patient (at CHUV)
- Kinesio Taping training (application of adhesive Tape for rehabilitation and sports purposes)
- Pilates (type: Clinical Pilates)
- specific training on scientific research in physical therapy (at SUPSI)
