In the house at Piazza del Ponte 1, built in 1300, the first "spezieria" was established in 1617, run by an ancestor of the famous Luigi Lavizzari.The pharmacy, which remained in the same house, passed through numerous generations until 1919 when it was purchased by Dr Leone Quattrini, great-grandfather of the current pharmacist, Alberto Ballarin, who currently runs the pharmacy, which has remained independent and family-run.
