The municipality of Magliaso covers an area of about 1,100,000 square meters. Shaped like a triangle, it borders the municipalities of Agno and Neggio to the north, Caslano to the south and west, having the lake as its natural boundary to the east.

80 percent of the territory is flat, mostly alluvial formation due to the Magliasina River, which flows on the border between Magliaso and Caslano to flow into Lake Ceresio.
