The importance of prevention
Breast cancer makes more than 6,000 women sick each year in Switzerland and more than 350 in Canton Ticino. Most women who get breast cancer have no family history of risk and no symptoms. Studio Vitale offers the best technology and expertise to find breast cancer early before it causes a symptom. 
A small tumor can be treated more easily and with the best results. We are available to clarify various breast problems, such as pain and the appearance of a new lump.

Early Diagnosis Service
If you show symptoms that may be related to the appearance of breast cancer (a sudden change in the breast, the appearance of a lump, fluid leaking from the nipple, or pain) you may need to have an in-depth examination. Studio Vitale uses 3D mammography, ultrasonography, MRI (in collaboration with Radiomedica) and minimally invasive biopsy for early detection.

Screening
If you have no symptoms in your breasts you may be able to have a periodic screening exam that can allow you to find cancer early. At Studio Vitale she will be able to have periodic mammography as part of the cantonal mammography screening program. For women at high risk for breast cancer Studio Vitale offers an individual periodic screening program based on risk quantification. Studio Vitale collaborates with specialists in genetics to identify and define the risk for the occurrence of breast cancer.
