What is physiotherapy
Physiotherapy is aimed at people with musculoskeletal complaints caused by accidents, overuse or illness.
Patients with chronic complaints can also use physiotherapy to make everyday life easier again.
Physiotherapy also supports people with disabilities so that they can maintain their mobility or minimize any discomfort.
There are many different types of therapy. The aim of all types of therapy is to restore, maintain or promote health and often to reduce pain or even relieve pain.
Physiotherapy can also be used as a preventative measure to prevent acute complaints from occurring in the first place.
Our aim is to ensure that you can go about your everyday life without any complaints once you have completed physiotherapy.

Explanation of terms
A
Active therapies:
First and foremost, you improve coordination of movements. Once you have mastered this, you will train your condition in our training room or using a home program. This is the ideal way to integrate the correct sequences into sport and everyday life
Endurance:
With our bikes, cross trainer and treadmill, you can control fat burning, cardiovascular training and interval training.
B
Movement:
Modern findings show: Movement is best trained within an active movement sequence. Movement is only useful if you are able to actively control it. Conventional, static stretching also continues to play an important role in relaxation and maintaining mobility.
Bobath:
Neurological treatment concept such as for MS, stroke, traumatic brain injury or Parkinson's
E
First appointment:
Bring your doctor's prescription, any X-ray or computer tomogram images and the details of your health insurance (card) or accident insurance, including the claim or policy number. At this appointment, an assessment will be carried out to determine your complaints and goals, so you do not need to wear training clothes yet.
K
Coordination:
Good coordination is the basis of all postures and movements. Poor posture and unergonomic movements lead to incorrect strain, wear and tear and ultimately to pain. As physiotherapists and movement specialists, we are committed to training and constantly monitoring your movement coordination in a way that is suitable for everyday use and specific to your sport.
Strength:
Depending on the everyday demands of work and sport, different types of strength are required. Strength training not only has a positive effect on the muscles, but also on your joints and bone density.
P
Passive therapies:
These include manual techniques: increased joint mobility, increased nerve gliding ability and loosening of soft tissue. Electrotherapy to reduce pain, increase circulation and muscle activity. Heat packs to relax, stimulate circulation and improve muscle tension. Cold therapy to reduce sensitivity to pain is also part of passive therapy.
