In the fermenters of our plant, the fermentation process produces biogas from these organic residues as a high-quality and CO2-neutral energy source. Biogas is used as a fuel, heat source or in decentralized electricity production.

In addition to the gas, the nutrients from the organic residues are retained after fermentation. This is used to produce liquid fertilizers and soil conditioners, which are used in agriculture and horticulture and make an important contribution to nutrient supply and humus formation.
