The SIT brings together workers from all economic branches and professions (land, construction, cleaning, industries, commerce, services, hotels, domestic economy, health, social, civil service...), of all nationalities and all statuses.

At the same time, the SIT is only present in the canton of Geneva.

Please note, however, that the SIT is a union present only in the canton of Geneva.

The SIT fights for

• defend and uphold the interests and rights of all workers
.
• strengthen solidarity between all workers regardless of profession, nationality, status, age and gender,
• improve wage, working and living conditions for all categories of workers in the canton,
• promote equality between women and men in practice,
• implement economic and social legislation guaranteeing workers and their families comprehensive social security,
• strengthen the right of association and freedom of association,
• build a society based on solidarity and the satisfaction of basic needs for all,
• insert current climate issues at the heart of trade union struggles, both cross-industry and sectoral, and fight for a transition that is both ecological and social.
