Thanks to more than thirty years' activity in the paintings, antique furniture and objets d'art trade, Galerie Tonon has acquired a wealth of experience in these fields and is able to carry out reliable valuations and appraisals at the request of private individuals or insurance companies.

The Gallery buys paintings, antique furniture and objects for cash; it also accepts on consignment.

It also presents antique furniture and objets d'art: silverware, lighting, clocks, porcelain, sculpture and glassware.

Once a year, Galerie Tonon organizes in its spaces an exhibition devoted to Swiss painting and more particularly to the Geneva school of the 19th and 20th centuries.

La Galerie Tonon was founded in 1970 by Paolo Tonon, initially at 52, boulevard Saint-Georges in Geneva. In 1987, he was joined by his daughter Josy, who focused on organizing exhibitions.

On November 14, 1996, the Galerie inaugurated a new space at 9, boulevard du Théâtre, a stone's throw from Place Neuve and Geneva's Grand Théâtre. In this new space, the Gallery permanently presents a vast selection of European paintings: Swiss, German, French, Dutch and Italian from the 17th to the 20th century.
