After a death, we accompany you and your loved ones individually, sensitively and professionally through the time of grief. We take time to listen to your concerns and support you wherever you need help. As a funeral home based in Einsiedeln, we know the regional circumstances and contacts and can provide you with comprehensive advice at your home, in hospital, in a care home or at our premises.

WHAT TO DO IN THE EVENT OF DEATH?

1. contact the family doctor of the deceased or the emergency services (telephone 144).

2. if it is an accident or suicide/assisted suicide, inform the police immediately (telephone 117).

3. the doctor present at the scene will issue a death certificate (document)

4. with the death certificate (document), we are permitted to transfer the deceased person to the place of burial. Please keep this document within easy reach.

• Will there be a laying out of the body? 
• Will there be a burial in the ground or an urn burial?
• Where and when will the funeral take place?
• Is there a repatriation from or to abroad?
• etc.

6. Check with your parish or religious community to find out when they have time for a farewell, funeral or memorial service.

7. inform family, friends and acquaintances of the loss of the deceased via telephone, mourning card, newspaper advertisement, etc.

8. deregister the deceased person with the insurance companies and other service providers with whom the deceased person is registered.
