The Frei family has been welcoming you to the Gasthof Engel since 1955. Sonja and Simon Frei-Zimmermann are now the third generation to run the business with passion and heart. They serve their guests culinary delights and exquisite wines. As an inn, the Engel also offers overnight accommodation.

Whether meat connoisseur or vegetarian - everyone will find the right culinary delight at the Engel. We will spoil you with fresh, traditional cuisine and creative new interpretations. We are also happy to put together a menu for you on request.

We serve succulent game, young spring vegetables and homemade pasta with our wood-fired bread. Regional and seasonal products are important to us. We adapt the menu according to the season and what is available. In this way, the Engel guarantees that only the freshest ingredients of the best quality are served to its guests.

At the Gasthof Engel, you will find rooms with very different faces. The Burghornsäli, the charming Lägernsaal and Apéro-Klosterkeller offer space for 30, 80 or 60 people. We would be happy to plan the perfect event together with you and take the time to cater to your wishes!
