The association "Scuola di Musica Collina d'Oro" is a growing private music school in Canton Ticino, Switzerland, with locations in Montagnola, Pazzallo, Cadempino, Savosa and Stabio. Lessons can also be held at your home and online. Courses are open to all ages and levels for students interested in classical
and modern music. You can enroll in your selected course at any time of the year.

We also teach classical and modern music, so kids have the choice. However, many children nowadays have the misconception that studying music is boring, because classical music is boring to them. But what they often don't realize and don't know is that they can actually learn in any style of music, not just classical. And with time their taste will still often change as well. We have to accept their preferences and their current musical taste. But that doesn't mean that the general idea of studying instrumental music must be abandoned. We just have to find the best unique learning program for your children. We have teachers who can teach in different styles of music, such as Pop, Rock, Jazz, Latin. Seeing the demands and the covid crisis situation, we have launched our music education services online as well. Now you can study your favorite musical instrument conveniently and safely even from home. All you need is an Internet-connected device and an app to make video calls. In our menu Online Courses you can check the list of musical instruments currently offered and the availability of our teachers. You will also find a link to calculate time zone differences if you live in another country.

We would also like to encourage adults to participate and enroll in our courses. We use materials specially developed for adult learners and third age students. It often happens that one studies music as a child, then for some reason gives it up and stops. But when he becomes an adult and settles down to life, he regrets quitting years ago and wishes to start again. On the other hand, there are people, who always wanted to learn to play on a musical instrument, but did not have the opportunity or time.

The School of Music offers free consultation service for customers who intend to buy musical instruments but do not know where or which model. We always know the best prices and options for choosing the right instrument for their children. We can help you plan in advance for regular lessons or summer lessons, choosing the right contract or package according to your need, giving you more flexibility and freedom.

- Schedule | Flexible

You can choose between lesson lengths: 30, 45, 60 or 90 minutes, as well as the number of lessons per week: 1, 2 or 3. The cost table for each solution, can be found on our "Documents" page. We always try to respect your availability and family logistics. However, the school administration has a difficult task synchronizing room availability, teacher availability, and certainly client availability. By contacting the administration in August or early September there is always a better chance of finding desired times/days.

- Instructional Materials | Customized

Your instructor will customize the study material to meet your professional or personal goals. Even if you wish to become a pofessional musician and even if the goal is to have fun just learning your favorite songs. Communication is the key to successful school-student collaboration, so be sure to communicate all your musical desires.

Our music school regularly holds concerts for students at the end of each semester. This is a great opportunity for students to showcase their skills in front of an audience, playing the pieces of music they have learned in class. Meanwhile, for parents, it is the perfect opportunity to update their family albums with new photos/videos, archiving these beautiful and magical moments for the future.

- Lessons | in Summer

For students, summer is fun, play, relaxation, but unfortunately this is the time of year when they practice much less. To provide continuity, the music school offers customizable packages for the summer period. The dates of these lessons can be arranged directly with your teacher. Families can freely choose the duration and number of lessons included in the package. These summer lessons are mainly to minimize the inevitable loss of already acquired instrumental knowledge, to study a specific problem more deeply (of technique, reading, etc.), for which there is never enough time during the school year, or simply to have fun learning your favorite songs.
