In spring 1973, the two brothers Vittorio and Mario Martino founded the plastering business based in the Thürlefeld district of Bösingen. At the beginning, the main activity was plastering work, interior and exterior insulation and façade plastering.

The economic slump around 1975 was a damper for the motivated young entrepreneurs. Mario moved to the far north. Vittorio Martino continued the business alone and in 1977 founded the public limited company Martino AG, Gipsergeschäft, based in Bösingen.

The business developed rapidly, and by the early 1980s around 30 people were already employed. Construction activity in the municipality and the surrounding area increased, which is why the company continued to expand. During this time, the head office and warehouse were moved to Industriestrasse 1 (now 21) 

These premises were soon too small again, and further business premises were built next door. At Industriestrasse 23, the company had suitably equipped offices, storage rooms and a workshop. Today, the offices are located at Industriestrasse 21 and the storage rooms and workshop at Industriestrasse 126.

In 1986, the Vittorio Martino painting business was founded in order to offer customers a full range of plastering and painting services. At the same time, the company was restructured and Mario Martino took over the management of the plastering department.

With the founding of Martino AG, Laupen in 1988, the company gained a foothold in the neighboring area of the canton of Bern. In 2011, the company moved to the city of Bern and at the same time changed its name to Gebr. Martino AG.
In 1995, Martino AG changed its name to the current LTM Martino AG.

In 2003, the company celebrated its 30th anniversary.
