METHODS
Cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy with an interpersonal focus according to Grawe
This psychotherapeutic method is a further development of behavioral therapy. The method involves recognizing and changing cognitions (thinking), in particular thinking errors and distorted attitudes. Unhelpful behavioral patterns are replaced by more functional behavioral patterns (e.g. using role-playing games). In the interpersonal approach, the effects of the dysfunctional behavioral patterns are reflected in the respective relationship with other people. The approach focuses on a problem- and goal-oriented therapeutic procedure and promotes help for self-help.
Schema therapy according to Jeffrey Young et al. (2003)Schema therapy is a further development of cognitive behavioral therapy (3rd generation therapy) and was developed by Jeffrey Young et al (2003) for clients who exhibit difficult behavioral and experiential patterns in relationships that can make interaction with other people difficult. The schematherapeutic approach is about recognizing and changing these unfavourable emotionally activated behaviour patterns (modes) in everyday life, understanding the underlying unmet needs and being able to fulfil them in the healthy adult mode.
Emotion-focused therapy (EFT) according to Leslie Greenberg
EFT focuses on working through emotional processes in therapy and helps to transform emotional pain and resolve interpersonal relationship and behavioral difficulties.
"One cannot leave an emotion until one arrives at it." (Leslie Greenberg)
