For over 35 years, we have been offering pets a loving temporary home in Belp. Our vacation guests are cats, dogs, rodents and birds.

We offer plenty of space and exercise for your pet on 10,000 m2 of land. We always keep our green outdoor area and the indoor facility clean so that the animals feel comfortable and do not transmit any diseases. 

Experienced animal keepers with heart

In 1977, Jakob Bornhauser's parents founded the Fahrhubel animal sanctuary in Belp in the canton of Bern. In 2002, the trained animal keepers Jakob Bornhauser and his wife Edith Riesen took over the boarding kennels.

Our 8 employees clean and feed the animals and play with them. We also work together with a dog hairdresser, who we can call in on request.

Your pet is going on vacation for the first time? We look after your pet individually and lovingly so that it has no time for homesickness. We have many regular customers who regularly leave their pets with us for a while. For us, personal care also means that we discuss your pet's medical history, behavior, characteristics and feeding with you. If your pet needs medication, we will administer it according to your instructions. In an emergency, we work together with the local vet.
