Diving work

Since its foundation by René Stephany and Karl Wild in 1972, the company Stephany und Wild AG, based in Basel, has been active in diving work throughout Switzerland and neighboring countries. The company has been managed by the second generation, Serge Stephany, since 1999.

The diving work is carried out by a team of professional divers. Professional divers are specialized underwater construction craftsmen. Their work includes installation, renovation, inspection and cleaning work as well as firing and welding work. The divers are equipped with machines and tools as well as photo and video equipment to document their work. The missions take place in both summer and winter, mostly in rivers and lakes. Construction work below the water level is carried out in accordance with EU safety regulations. While the diver is working underwater, he is connected to a second diver above water via the air supply and intercom system.
