The Weizenkorn is a social enterprise in which mainly young women and men with support needs work. They experience acceptance and appreciation through meaningful work. Over 300 people are employed in a supported workplace or are completing an apprenticeship. In the production, sales, accounting, catering, hotel and carpentry departments, employees are supported by internal social services and 80 team members. The aim of the support work is to strengthen existing skills and improve employability in the private sector. Weizenkorn has been in existence since 1979 and is recognized by the federal and cantonal governments as a sheltered workshop and provider of vocational assessments.
