Esther Giger-Fuchs dreamt of self-employment at an early age - in 2004, this dream became a reality. At the age of 24, the trained florist opened the flower store Avelanche on the aptly named Blumenrainweg in Appenzell. While Giger-Fuchs was always bound to a certain style as an employee in other stores, she has since enjoyed complete creative freedom in her own business.

The proximity to the church and the parking lot contribute to the fact that the store is popular with locals from the region as well as tourists.
