Since autumn 2017, Marcel Zünd, Managing Director of ZZdesign, has been creating unique pieces of jewelry made from veneer wood in picturesque Altstätten in the canton of St. Gallen. As a trained cabinetmaker, he combines his long-standing passion for wood with his craftsmanship to create fascinating accessories such as bracelets, earrings and necklaces.

As a child, Marcel discovered his enthusiasm for wood and created various objects from this natural material with great dedication. He later turned his hobby into a profession and became a master carpenter. The idea of making jewelry from veneer also inspired his wife Anita, who has since enriched the company with her creative streak. Together, they design unique pieces of jewelry that are not only sophisticated in terms of craftsmanship, but also individual and personal.

For their creations, they only use high-quality, European precious woods such as maple, apple tree, pear tree, Walnut, Smoked Oak and Stone Oak. Each piece of veneer is unique, making each piece of jewelry unmistakably one of a kind - perfect for people who appreciate special and personal accessories.
