SERVICES
Examination
The precise diagnosis of venous diseases is carried out using duplex sonography (ultrasound). The entire course of all veins and any pathological reflux can be documented in this way.
Endovenous procedures
Diseased vein sections are obliterated using a laser catheter and heat. The procedure is painless and can be performed on an outpatient basis
The costs of the treatment have been covered by basic health insurance since January 1, 2016.Phlebectomy (hook method)
Superficially visible veins are removed under local anaesthetic using a small hook. The treatment can be performed on an outpatient basis. This therapy is often combined with laser surgery.
Sclerotherapy (sclerotherapy)
Veins can be damaged by injecting foam, which the body then breaks down over time. This procedure is often used in the treatment of recurrent varicose veins (varicose veins that have reappeared after previous surgery)
Sclerotherapy for spider veins
Cosmetically disturbing, tiny superficial vessels can be sclerosed using injections. The vessel wall is damaged by the injected medication and broken down by the body's repair processes
Stripping surgery
Surgical removal of varicose veins is only necessary in exceptional cases nowadays. Surgically, the vein is exposed through an incision in the groin and then pulled out with the help of a stripper.
